Which slow juicer is right for you?
- Feed chute: the Klausberg KB-7881 has an XXL 113 mm feed chute. The wider the opening, the less you need to chop your fruit and vegetables beforehand. The KB-7871 also features a wide feed chute.
- Power: two models have a 150 W motor. A slow juicer rotates slowly and therefore requires less power than a high-speed centrifugal juicer.
- Separate pulp: the 700 ml Klausberg Slow Juicer has a pulp container so that juice and pulp are collected separately.
- Design: the KB-7881 has a stainless steel housing, while the KB-7871 is black and silver. Both are noted for their quiet operation.
- Vertical model: the KB-7871 is a vertical juicer. It stands upright, taking up little space on your countertop.
Slow juicer or centrifugal juicer?
A centrifugal juicer grates fruit and vegetables using a fast-rotating disc and spins the juice through a sieve. A slow juicer, by contrast, gently presses the juice out with an auger. This is quieter, produces less foam, and also makes it easy to juice leafy greens such as spinach or kale. Juicing is faster with a centrifugal juicer, however.
Cleaning after use
Rinse the juicer immediately after use, before pulp and fibers dry in the sieve. Take the detachable parts apart and clean the sieve thoroughly with a brush. Only wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. You can find more appliances under kitchen appliances and kitchen utensils; pour your juice into glasses.
