What are hadiths?

Hadiths are events from the time of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (salla llahoe alaihi wa sallaam). In the hadiths, we can read what our Prophet (salla llahoe alaihi wa sallaam) did and what he said.

The hadiths were written after the life of our Prophet (salla llahoe alaihi wa sallaam). The people who wrote them sought out the companions of our Prophet (saws) and wrote down everything they told about the Prophet. They turned them into books, which we call "hadith books."

In the hadith books, you can read what our Prophet (saws) did and what he said.

The hadith books are named after those individuals or their place of origin.
