The History of Morocco & North Africa

The History of Morocco & North Africa

This is the first book in Dutch that extensively covers the history of Morocco and North Africa from an Islamic perspective. This book covers the period from antiquity up to 1147 AD (Al-Murabitun). A book filled with wisdom and stories that you do not often hear about.

We live in an era in which many people deal with an identity crisis. Many people no longer have roots, and for a tree to grow, roots are necessary, because without roots, you cannot grow. Many Moroccans and Maghrebis (North Africans) no longer know who they are or where they come from.

That is why it is important to study your own history. When you study history, you will feel connected to something larger than yourself. Who are the Moroccans and Maghrebis, where do they come from, and what have they left behind in history?

This is also not just any history book, but a book in which we explore together the wisdom and lessons that we can draw from our history. So that we learn from the past to improve ourselves in the present. Therefore, we must rediscover our identity, learn more about our history, and hopefully, this book contributes to strengthening your identity, so that your roots dig even deeper into the ground through this book. Read and join us in this quest for Maghrebi and Moroccan history.
