The Islamic Profession of Faith

It is intriguing that behind the recitation of what at first glance seems to be a simple declaration of faith (the shahada), the totality of Islam is hidden upon closer inspection.

In this booklet, an attempt has been made to explain the meaning of the individual parts of the shahada, its conditions, as well as the actions by which one invalidates his or her shahada. Every Muslim should realize the implications of their declaration of faith.
