Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille Soaps
All soaps are handmade in the workshops of Le Chatelard 1802 in St Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Thanks to the pH-neutral formula, these soaps do not dry out the skin. They are a source of intense hydration and softness. The soaps are delicately scented with flowers, fruits, and other natural ingredients, producing a rich lather that nourishes, hydrates, and leaves a wonderful scent. This 100% natural soap is crafted in the traditional way by mixing Mediterranean water with olive oil, sometimes combined with other vegetable oils, sodium carbonate, and sodium hydroxide. This mixture is heated in a large cauldron for several days while being constantly stirred. This allows it ample time to 'mature' before being poured into molds to harden further. While the soap is still soft, it is cut into the correct shape and stamped. The entire process can take up to a month.
