Lotus atmosphere light aquamarine blue

Beautiful Lotus candle holder made from Capiz shell in the color aquamarine blue with gold-colored edges. The Lotus is the symbol of darkness to light, of ignorance to knowledge. Dimensions 13.5 cm. About Capiz shells: These are made from the outer layer of a marine mollusk, the scientific name of which is placuna placenta, also known as the windowpane oyster. The Capiz shells from the Philippines are so named because they were originally harvested from the shallow coastal waters near the city of Capiz, on the island of Panay. Once cleaned properly, these shells are naturally translucent, and when painted, they create a particularly beautiful play of colors when a light is placed inside.
