Lotus atmosphere light natural gold rim

Beautiful Lotus candle holder made of Capiz shell in the color natural (off-white) with gold-colored edges. The Lotus is the symbol of darkness to light, of ignorance to knowledge. Dimensions 13.5 cm. About Capiz shells: These are made from the outer layer of a marine mollusk, whose scientific name is placuna placenta, also known as the windowpane oyster. Capiz shells from the Philippines are named so because they were originally harvested from the shallow coastal waters near the city of Capiz, on the island of Panay. Once cleaned, these shells are naturally translucent, and when painted, they produce a remarkably beautiful play of colors when lit from within.
