About this product
Cheerful decorated cooking tagine with a diameter of Ø 30 cm. The tagine is made of earthenware with a (lead-free) glaze layer. Beautifully painted with colored motifs. The dome-shaped lid is hand-painted and is relatively low.
Due to the special conical lid, the evaporated moisture runs back onto the ingredients. Because not only all juices but also all aromas are preserved when preparing dishes in the tagine, it is a true sensory experience to open the tagine at the table in front of all the diners!
Size: Ø 30 cm.
First use of the tagine:
When using the tagine for the first time, a preparation treatment is required; therefore, it is necessary to follow the steps below:
1. Wash the tagine with lukewarm water. Both the lid and the base.
2. Then remove the tagine from the water. Dry it thoroughly.
3. Grease the inside and outside with (olive) oil.
4. The tagine is now completely ready for its first use! :
Please note!:
- The tagine is not resistant to temperature shocks, so heat the tagine slowly.
- When using in the oven, never preheat.
- The tagine is not dishwasher safe.
Maintenance
Wash the tagine by hand with a little dish soap and warm water. Use a non-metallic brush and do not leave the earthenware in water. Let the tagine dry thoroughly to prevent mold.
Which heat sources are suitable?
You can use the tagine on any heat source, except for induction.
Which dishes can you prepare?
Use the tagine for preparing fish, meat, vegetables, and fruit. The flavor of added herbs and other seasonings has plenty of time to blend well during preparation in the tagine. The result is a tasty and low-fat dish.
Please note: The tagine is handmade and hand-painted, so it may occur that the painting on the delivered model differs slightly from the one in the photo. It can also happen that the tagine shows an imperfection (e.g., a misplaced paint splash, small irregularities). On the one hand, this is the charm of the product.
